Trying out a new product is exciting but also comes with a lot of questions such as how to I insert a menstrual cup or yoni egg, how do I remove a menstrual cup or yoni egg, how long do I leave them in for... etc etc. Dont worry we are here to give you the run down on all of our products.

YONI EGGS

WHICH SIZE DO I START WITH:

If you are just starting out your yoni egg journey we suggest starting with the large egg, you would think that since its the biggest and heaviest you would work your way up to that from the small.... but you see the large egg works the overall core pelvic muscles, once you strength those muscles you can work your way down to the small egg, as this uses more specific targeted muscles to work with.

HOW TO INSERT A YONI EGG:

So you've purchased your first set of Yoni Eggs, congrats and welcome to the Yoni Club! Before inserting your egg make sure of two things: one make sure to wash your hands to sanitize them, and two its helpful to empty your bladder. This will ensure that you do not have any distractions like having to run to the bathroom while doing your 'Yoni Sets'.

Step 1: Make sure you are in a relaxed state, you can take a few moments create natural lubrication through self exploration or use a water based lube to help the ease of insertion.

Step 2: While laying down with your knees up and both feet planted on the bed, slowly insert your yoni egg into your vagina with the widest end up. This sensation will feel like inserting a smooth tampon with no applicator.

WHAT TO DO ONCE YOUR YONI EGG IS INSERTED:

KEGEL REPS

We suggest using your yoni egg to do kegel reps. A kegel is the action of clenching and releasing your pelvis muscles.... think of the movement you do when you have to go pee and your holding it back, thats a clench! and the releasing would be pushing out. So heres a typical kegel workout you can do:

  1. In a slow, relaxed manner, gradually pull in and hold a pelvic muscle-squeeze for 3 seconds, then relax for 3 seconds. This counts as 1 'rep'
  2. Repeat 10 times, once times a day to work your "slow-twitch" muscle fibers, which maintain general muscle support.
  3. After each set of 10 slow reps, add in 10 quick squeeze reps. Do this by repeating steps 1 & 2 but instead of holding for 3 seconds hold for 1 second and then release. This works the "fast-twitch" muscle fibers that come into play when you experience sudden increases in pelvic pressure.

Increase your contraction hold for the slow squeezes by one second each week until you are contracting for a 10-second squeeze. Remember to rest and breathe between contractions.

YONI YOGA

This will be your traditional yoga session with the added bonus of inserting your yoni egg in before you start and taking it out after you are done. If you are interested in learning more about this you can sign up for our yoni yoga E-Book that we are finishing up.

HOW TO REMOVE YOUR YONI EGG:

After you are done using your yoni egg, it is now time to remove your egg. This is a simple process.

For Drilled Yoni Eggs: If you have a drilled yoni egg with a string simply relax, get into a squatting position and tug on the string. Think of this as the same process for removing a tampon (if you have ever used one before you know what we are talking about) Your egg will glide out slowly and smoothly.

For Undrilled Yoni Eggs: If you are using an undrilled yoni egg you will not have a string to tug on. To remove your egg get into a deep squatting position and push out with your vaginal muscles. If needed you may have to insert your finger to help scoop your yoni egg out. DO NOT PANIC, your yoni egg will not get stuck inside of you, you just have to relax and help ease your egg out. Think of this as the same process for removing a birth control ring. Undrilled eggs will require a lot more interaction with your body, if you are feeling a little squeamish or just starting out on our yoni egg journey we may suggest drilled yoni eggs to start.

HOW TO CLEAN YOUR YONI EGG:

With Soap & Water: Before and after use it is important to clean your Yoni Egg. This can be done by placing your gemstone into a bowl of hot soapy water. You can use any natural soap. Gently agitate within the water for a few seconds and leave your Yoni Egg to soak for up to five minutes. Rinse clean with warm water and allow to air dry or gently wipe with a dry cloth.

Boiling: We suggest that you bring water to a boil in a pot, remove the pot from the flame or burner and then insert your yoni eggs into the water. Leave your yoni eggs in the water for 5-10 minutes. Do not ever leave your yoni eggs in boiling water on a burner unattended. Also please note that your yoni eggs will be conductors of heat. Please use caution and do not immediately touch your eggs after they come directly out of the water.

WILL MY YONI EGG GET LOST INSIDE ME?

The simple answer to that is no, but there is a more in depth rational behind this.... remember ladies, we are designed to push! If you have given vaginal birth to a child you know what we're talking about! Also, the average length of the vaginal canal is only 9.6 centimeters while the range is between 6.5 and 12.5 centimeters. So heres what may happen, if you are new to the yoni egg journey and choose to go with an undrilled egg  you may insert your egg and while doing your kegel reps or yoni yoga session you may have used your muscles to push the egg further up your vaginal canal, fear not the first step to getting your egg to come out is to RELAX! If you become panicky you will be flexing your muscles clenching the egg in and not being able to release it. Like we said, relax and bear down. You will use your muscles to push the egg further down the canal until it pops out.... yes the image of a chicken laying an egg just came into your head and were here to LOL with you, because yes essentially you will now know what it feels like to lay an egg! We suggest if you are just starting our your yoni egg journey to go with the drilled yoni eggs.

DRILLED VS UNDRILLED - WHATS THE DIFFERENCE?

The difference between drilled and undrilled is drilled Yoni eggs have a hole drilled through the top. For usage if you are using a drilled egg it will have a hole through the top that you place a string through and you would remove the egg the same as you would a tampon, if you are using an undrilled egg you would clench down on your muscles and push the egg out. If you are just starting your journey we suggest using a drilled egg 🥚❤️

CAN I GET TSS FROM USING A YONI EGG?

Well there currently to date (current date for readers to take note 2/10/2019) has not been ANY reported cases of TSS (Toxic Shock Syndrome) from using yoni eggs it is still important to take caution and make sure you are not putting yourself at risk. This is why we recommend users to wear your yoni egg for AN HOUR MAXIMUM.....so does that mean at 61 minutes of use all of sudden the world will come to an end, no not at all but we are ADVISING AGAINST SLEEPING WITH YOUR YONI EGGS IN.... also many other companies will say you can hear them for hours at a time, one company even says up to 8 hours is perfectly fine, GUESS WHAT, THATS NOT US! Even tampons are suggested to only be worn for 4-6 hours, so strongly advise going beyond that time frame. It is also important that you sanitize your yoni eggs BEFORE and AFTER use.

ARE YONI EGGS POROUS? WILL THEY HARBOR BACTERIA THAT CAN CAUSE AN INFECTION?

Lets break it down like this....If something is full of tiny holes or openings, you can describe it as porous. A sponge is porous, but you see yoni eggs are not made up of materials that look like a sea sponge, you would not look at a rose quartz yoni egg and think it has any holes. This is because our yoni eggs are tumbled and polished to a smooth shiny finish. But, microscopically there are tiny pores within the structures of your yoni egg where things can get into such as bacteria.... again this is why we emphasis CLEANING YOUR YONI EGG BEFORE AND AFTER USAGE. If you take proper care and maintenance of your yoni egg you should be fine. Women have been using yoni eggs for thousands of years without any major complication. That being said, since every women's body is different and our yoni eggs are made from natural materials.... you may experience your body has a negative reaction to a specific material. This would include the reaction of the material causing you to have a yeast infection, hey were just being honest here, it has happened to some users so we want to be as transparent about it as possible. If you find that using a specific yoni egg does cause this to happen, discontinue use immediately and consult your physician.

WHAT IS THE YONI WAND USED FOR:

The yoni wand is used as a means of helping to release your tension by massaging your erogenous zones. The yoni wands may also be used for healing, mediation and manifestation. <3 Currently we carry our 4 inch Yoni wand and will be stocking up on 7 inch Yoni wands as well.
